It can be scary and confusing when we first find out that we have warts. It’s not pleasant when we find these things on us. But is there a way that the warts will let us continue on and live our life?
So I’ve heard that HPV means forever. There is no cure? That concerned me too at first. But there is some pretty good reason to hold your head up high and not feel too bad. Almost everyone does come in contact with HPV in there lifetime and almost everyone can recover from getting the HPV from having symptoms and even be to the point where doctors have no way of detecting that it is in your system.
So how does that work? Well HPV is a pretty common virus and it can bring on warts of all different types. You may also have heard of other ailments that it can cause. But the specific symptoms depends on the strain of HPV that infects you. Included here is a chart of the various types of HPV

Some of the types of HPV are more common then others. The types of HPV that cause warts of various kinds, however, are by far and wide the most symptomatic issue with warts and this can lead to them being hard to control. It is also the most common types of strains on the warts. That said, can HPV cause cancer? Sure it can. And the re-introduction of various types of HPV keep putting you in higher risk.
So what is the best thing to do? Well quick treatment and solid steps of prevention are certainly a good idea. If you want to protect someone younger then 20, say your child perhaps, then a vaccine is certainly advisable. Beyond that age, the vaccine is not typically given, to other methods such as being very choosy as to who to be close with while using protection against your body parts is of course the most important thing. That along side with taking care of your body will be great defenses against genital warts or others that may be lingering.
So HPV is out there and no one should feel ashamed about having this sort of thing. But getting your body up to speed with effective prevention and treatment measure is something that will never be too late for you to start thing off with.
