With the new Ontario COVID-19 Enhanced Protocols currently in effect at the clinic, you are requested to wear a mask while in the clinic. Please also wear loose clothing. IN ADDITION, for the safety of everyone, you must self pre-screen prior to your appointment:

If you or your household family members are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • sore throat,
  • back or whole body ache
  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
We are gradually re-opening our clinics.
By following government guidance, our therapists are looking forward to providing treatments to help with your anxiety, stress, muscle stiffness, soreness and general pain symptoms or other chronic diseases by acupuncture, massage and herbal medicine.
We also wanted to let you know that, while we were closed, we have been reviewing and enhancing our sanitation and in-clinic procedures to ensure that your therapist can treat you, and you can be treated, in a safe environment.
All our new policies and procedures meet the standards described by local and national regulatory bodies.
To give you an idea of our enhanced procedures:

  • Our clinic has been deep cleaned and sanitized.
  • Hand sanitizers are set up at the entrance and the front desk.
  • We have implemented rotational sanitation procedures for all common surfaces, multiple times throughout the day
  • Treatment rooms are fully sanitized, and all linens/blankets etc are replaced, after each treatment.
  • Our therapists and team members will wear masks and gloves.
  • We are practicing physical distance in the common areas of the clinic (reception / hallways)
  • We prefer our client pay ahead by eTransfering to Jian@Oclinic.ca or OrientalAcupuncture@outlook.com , in order to limit the spread of COVID-19 or other virus.
We will also be pre-screening clients and staff, including a temperature check, upon entry to the clinic to make sure they do not feel unwell/have no symptoms of COVID.

Why do I need to wear a mask during my treatment?
As per government guidance, if physical distancing can’t be exercised then masks need to be worn. Given the close proximity required during a treatment, clients will need to wear a mask, while our therapists will wear PPE.

How will you take my temperature?
Our clinic is equipped with infrared non-contact thermometers. The thermometer is simply pointed to the forehead and provide an instant read. It’s a simple, rapid and a non-contact process. Should your temperature be above recommended levels, we will need to re-schedule your appointment until you feel better.

What do I need to know before I come in for my next appointment?
When you book an appointment, you will receive an email that outlines the new procedures. They will include; arriving 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time, bringing a filled water bottle and pen, leaving your belongings at home (or in the car) and bringing a community mask. In addition,  eTransfer is the most preferred payment method.

How have you updated your sanitation procedures and is it safe for me to get a treatment?
All our new policies and procedures meet the standards described by local and national regulatory bodies. We have implemented rotational sanitation procedures for all common surfaces, multiple times throughout the day. Treatment rooms are fully sanitized, and all linens/blankets etc are replaced, after each treatment. Your health and safety are our top priority.

Should clients take any precautions before attending their appointment?
In order to maintain safe clinic atmospheres. we’re advising anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms to reschedule their treatments. This helps to protect therapists and staff members as well as other clients from being exposed to COVID-19 and any other virus.

Can you be declined service if you are exhibiting symptoms?
Health Canada has advised that anyone exhibiting symptoms remain at home and avoid coming into contact with others. With this in mind, and for the safety of everyone at our clinics, our licensed service providers may decline service. Your appointment will be rescheduled, with clinics waiving the 24-hour notice period.

We are dedicated to the care of our clients and our team members. We will continue to monitor the pandemic and adjust our precautions as necessary.
